[Introduction]

What is NiniLine?

What is NiniLine?

This project aimed to build a safe and simple platform for buying and selling second-hand children's items.
Due to the sensitive nature of kids’ products, we designed a shipping flow where the postal service inspects and sanitizes items before delivery.
This ensured a smooth, hygienic, and trustworthy experience for all users.

This was a volunteer project designed as an MVP to validate the concept with stakeholders.

Introducing a Secure Escrow Wallet to Build Trust

Introducing a Secure Escrow Wallet to Build Trust

To solve this trust issue, we introduced a wallet-based escrow system. The seller doesn’t receive the payment until the product reaches the buyer and is confirmed. This ensures safety, prevents fraud, and builds confidence in the buying process.

This secure payment system ensures peace of mind for both buyers and sellers, safeguarding transactions and enhancing trust within our platform.

[Key Learnings]

The Real Problem Wasn’t the UI — It Was Trust

Through user interviews, I realized that parents weren’t avoiding second-hand purchases because of the interface.

Their hesitation came from not trusting the cleanliness of the items or the honesty of sellers.

Understanding that trust, not design, was the core problem completely reshaped the direction of the project.

[Outcome]

“User Behavior Rarely Matches Our Initial Assumptions.”

Research revealed that what we expected users to value was not what they actually cared about.

User interviews and usability tests were essential in uncovering real needs.

“Trust Is the Most Valuable Currency in Second-Hand Marketplaces.”

No matter how polished the UI is or how low the prices are, users won’t complete a purchase unless they trust the platform.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to refine and enhance our platform to better serve you. Stay tuned for updates!
